Right-click near the top of the Internet Explorer window and check "Command bar." Now, you should see the Twonky "T" icon under the address bar. Click on the Twonky icon to show the TwonkyBeam panel on the left side of the IE window. Once it's expanded, it will be visible every time you launch IE.If this is the first time you've launched TwonkyBeam on a Windows 7 PC, a security message may appear on your screen requiring you to allow TwonkyServer to run so that you can use TwonkyBeam.
I'm having problems installing or using media with TwonkyBeam for Chrome. Does TwonkyBeam still work with Chrome?

Yes, TwonkyBeam is safe to add on to Firefox. With Firefox 8, there is just an extra precaution to ensure that users truly intend to add plug-ins to Firefox. You will need to click the check box for Allow this Installation, then select Continue. You will be prompted to restart Firefox. Once you restart Firefox, TwonkyBeam will be available to you by selecting View from the Menu bar, then selecting TwonkyBeam from the Sidebar sub-menu.Will all DLNA-certified products work with TwonkyBeam?

How do I install TwonkyBeam for Internet Explorer?
- Click on the PC Version (Internet Explorer) link in the TwonkyBeam section of the Twonky downloads page.- A security warning will appear, asking if you want to Run or Save TwonkyBeam. Press Run to start the installer.
- After reading the license agreement, click I Agree to begin the installation process.
- After a few seconds, a window will appear that informs you that the installation has finished. Press the Finish button. If you are upgrading, the installer will remove the old version first.
- You will need to close and reopen your browser before you can use TwonkyBeam.
How do I launch TwonkyBeam in Firefox?
First, launch the Firefox browser.If TwonkyBeam isn’t visible on the left side of your screen, click on the View menu and mouse down to Sidebar. Selecting TwonkyBeam should cause a panel to appear on the left side of your screen.
You’re now ready to start using TwonkyBeam.
How do I launch TwonkyBeam in Internet Explorer?
To launch TwonkyBeam, click on the blue TM icon in the Internet Explorer command bar. You can find this in the upper right-hand corner of the browser window. If you don't see it, click on the double-arrow menu to the right of the Tools menu in the Internet Explorer command bar. Just select TwonkyBeam for Internet Explorer from the list and a panel will open up on the left side of your browser window.Tip: You can also find TwonkyBeam under Explorer Bar in the View menu.
Is there a way to make TwonkyBeam always visible in the Internet Explorer command bar?
Yes. Right-click in the Internet Explorer command bar and uncheck the Lock the Toolbars option. Next, drag the slider to the left of the Home button to expand the number of items in the command bar. You should now see the blue TM icon. When you're finished, right-click in the Internet Explorer command bar again and check the Lock the Toolbars option.How can I send media around my home using TwonkyBeam?
- Although TwonkyBeam works with most Web sites, you might want to start with specific sites. Click on the Sites button within the TwonkyBeam window to find a list of sites that should work well with TwonkyBeam.- Next, make sure TwonkyBeam appears on the left side of your browser window. If it doesn't, follow the instructions above.
- In order to use TwonkyBeam, at least one renderer must appear in the Devices area. If this doesn't happen within 30 seconds after launching TwonkyBeam, it means that no supported media players were found on your network. You might want to try using TwonkyManager as a renderer.

Yes, in Firefox and Internet Explorer you can. Just mouse over the media you want to beam, right-click and select TwonkyBeam to from the menu. The file will play on the device you’ve previously selected in the expanded view. Why doesn't anything appear in the Media List on some sites that contain media?
TwonkyBeam only displays media that can be played by a media player on your network. If you don't see anything in the Media List, it means we couldn't find any playable media on that page. Click on the Sites link to locate sites that should work well with TwonkyBeam and avoid websites that use embedded media players.What can I do if some of the images I want to view don't have a blue outline around them?
Try changing the default minimum image size on the Settings page.What can I do if some of the images I display on my TV appear pixelated?
Make sure you have a high-resolution version of the image selected and not a low-resolution thumbnail. Normally, double-clicking on a thumbnail will display a new page with a high-res image. If you go to Flickr or Facebook®, we automatically load high-resolution images when any photo is selected.Can I use TwonkyBeam with TwonkyServer™?
Yes. By using TwonkyBeam with TwonkyServer, you'll be able to stream your local media files to devices around your home. Here's how it works: 1. Download TwonkyServer and install TwonkyServer if you haven't done so already. You can use it for up to 30 days without buying it. 2. Will TwonkyBeam ever expire?
No, TwonkyBeam for Internet Explorer 1.9 will not expire. If you had a version of TwonkyBeam for Firefox installed, then it will stop working after January 31, 2012. If you're using a laptop that is close to a networking connector, try switching off wireless on your laptop and using the hard-wired connection only. This issue will be addressed in our next release.Why can't I get my Samsung TV to work with Twonky software?
First, confirm that your Samsung TV works with Twonky software. You can view a list of Samsung TVs that work with Twonky software here.Samsung's 2009 TVs can be externally controlled without any changes to the settings. Samsung TVs from 2010 sometimes need to have the following settings changed before they can be controlled using Twonky software:
Use your Samsung handheld remote to navigate here: Menu > Application > Content View > AllShare and then press ENTER.
Make sure "Media" is set to "On" by pressing the ENTER key.
A warning may appear informing you that media sent from a mobile phone or other device will be displayed on your TV. Press "Allow" to allow media to be sent. Please refer to the User's Guide that came with your TV for more information on this.

What are the system requirements for TwonkyManager?

How can I hide some of my content so Twonky doesn’t share it on my network?
Simple. Just move the content you don’t want to share outside of your designated media folders (e.g. My Music, My Photos, My Videos).Why doesn’t my server always appear immediately after launching TwonkyManager?
Once you select a media server it’s automatically remembered so the next time you launch TwonkyManager it looks to see if your server is available. To meet DLNA requirements however, TwonkyServer sometimes has to wait a little bit before it can announce itself on the network. That’s why you might sometimes see another server appear for a few seconds while TwonkyManager is looking for the server you last selected.Why can’t I play music purchased from iTunes?
DRM-protected songs, such as some music purchased from the Apple iTunes Music Store, are not supported for playback with Twonky. iTunes Plus songs that are purchased from the Apple iTunes Music Store are DRM-free and should play fine.Is Twonky available in languages other than English?
Yes, Twonky is available with support for eight different languages: English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.Can Twonky import iTunes smart playlists (e.g. 90s music)?
No. Twonky only imports static play lists. Smart Playlists and Genius Playlists are not imported. If iTunes playlist isn’t working, make sure your iTunes library and playlists are stored in the same location as your shared music folder (e.g. My Music).What makes TwonkyManager different?

How do I install TwonkyManager?
To install TwonkyManager follow the steps below:1. Double-click on TwonkyManagerSetup.exe.
2. Select your Language.
3. Click to accept the terms of the license agreement.
4. Type in the product key you were given when you purchased this product, or simply press Enter to begin a 30-day trail.
5. Press Finish after installation is complete. You can run TwonkyManager by double-clicking its desktop icon.
Note: The first time you launch TwonkyManager, it has to scan all of your media and import all of your playlists. This can take several minutes. During this process, the application may appear a little sluggish. Also, you may not see all of your media until this process is complete.

Why do I get a security alert when I run TwonkyManager for the first time?
Because TwonkyManager communicates with other PCs and consumer electronics (CE) devices over your network, Windows Firewall asks your permission before allowing this. Just click the “Unblock” button and you’ll never be bothered with this message again. You can learn more about Windows Firewall here. If nothing is appearing in the Server selection window, this might be caused by 3rd party firewall software like Norton Internet Security.Why don’t I see any of my devices in the Play Here section?
We only display devices here that controlled by TwonkyManager: You can find a list of supported devices here.When I try to drag media to the icon for my device, the cursor turns red. Why is this?
If the icon turns red it normally means you're trying to play an unsupported media type. You can still use your devices remote to pull media using Twonky software.Why does TwonkyManager continue playing music after I close the app?
As long as ‘QuickStart’ is enabled, closing TwonkyManager will cause the app to run in the background. If music was playing before you closed it, it will continue playing. This is considered to be a feature, not a problem.To bring TwonkyManager back to the foreground, just launch the app again. If you don’t like this behavior, you can disable ‘QuickStart’ in the General Settings page, but doing so will increase the time it takes to launch TwonkyManager.
How can I import my CDs into TwonkyManager?
The easiest ways to encode a CD using free software is with iTunes. Open iTunes and follow these steps:1. Go to Edit/Preferences and click on the Import Settings button in the General tab.
2. Ensure ‘Import using MP3 encoder’ and ‘Automatically retrieve CD names from Internet’ are checked.
3. Click OK.
4. Select the songs you wish to encode on the CD.
5. Right click on that song and select ‘Convert song to MP3’
Where can I purchase music that works with Twonky?
Look for websites that sell downloadable MP3 files like Amazon.com, Walmart, Napster or eMusic. These files have album art, all of the metadata tags entered, and they are encoded at high data rates, so they sound great. iTunes Plus songs that are purchased from the Apple iTunes Music Store are DRM-free and should play fine.What are the differences between your software products?

There is no need to do anything special to import or add new media to Twonky. Just drag your new music, photo or video files into the directories you set in the Server Settings tab. Make sure your TV is DLNA-certified. Just because it has an Internet connector, doesn’t mean it will work with other DLNA-certified devices. You can check on this here: http://www.dlna.org/products1. Start by checking the settings pages for your TV to see if there is a setting to enable/disable/rescan for media servers.
2. When TwonkyServer is installed on your Mac or PC, a security message often appears asking if you want to give the software access to your network. If you don’t do this, it won’t function properly. Go into your software firewall or browser and make sure access is granted by adding an exception for TwonkyServer.
3. Try moving your PC near your TV and connecting them both to a wired switch. This is just for testing purposes because it minimizes the complexity of your system. 4. Make sure your TV or the PC running TwonkyServer aren't connected to another router or switch.
5. Some routers and switches disable UPnP traffic. Check your router settings pages to make sure this is not happening.

Can Twonky import iTunes smart playlists (e.g. 90s music)?
No. Twonky only imports static play lists. Smart Playlists and Genius Playlists are not imported. First, confirm that your Samsung TV works with Twonky software. You can view a list of Samsung TVs that work with Twonky software here.Samsung's 2009 TVs can be externally controlled without any changes to the settings. Samsung TVs from 2010 sometimes need to have the following settings changed before they can be controlled using Twonky software:
Use your Samsung handheld remote to navigate here: Menu > Application > Content View > AllShare and then press ENTER.
Make sure "Media" is set to "On" by pressing the ENTER key.
A warning may appear informing you that media sent from a mobile phone or other device will be displayed on your TV. Press "Allow" to allow media to be sent. Please refer to the User's Guide that came with your TV for more information on this.
My device isn't seeing TwonkyServer or TwonkyManager. What can I try to fix this?
Make sure your TV is DLNA-certified. Just because it has an Internet connector, doesn’t mean it will work with other DLNA-certified devices. You can check on this here: http://www.dlna.org/products1. Start by checking the settings pages for your TV to see if there is a setting to enable/disable/rescan for media servers.
2. When TwonkyServer is installed on your Mac or PC, a security message often appears asking if you want to give the software access to your network. If you don’t do this, it won’t function properly. Go into your software firewall or browser and make sure access is granted by adding an exception for TwonkyServer.
3. Try moving your PC near your TV and connecting them both to a wired switch. This is just for testing purposes because it minimizes the complexity of your system.
4. Make sure your TV or the PC running TwonkyServer aren't connected to another router or switch.
5. Some routers and switches disable UPnP traffic. Check your router settings pages to make sure this is not happening.
What’s the difference between a DMP and DMR?
A DMP is a Digital Media Player. It's not externally controllable. A DMR is a digital media renderer, normally they are controllable from an external Digital Media Controller (DMC) like TwonkyManager.How do I import media into TwonkyManager or TwonkyServer?
There is no need to do anything special to import or add new media to Twonky. Just drag your new music, photo or video files into the directories you set in the Server Settings tab. In most cases these folders will be in your My Documents folder (e.g., My Music). The content will automatically appear in seconds.What are the differences between your software products?
